For eight years, the Medical Council of Canada (MCC) offered MCC 360 to healthcare practitioners as a professional development program. With a focus on using multi-source feedback to identify opportunities for growth, many health professionals from across Canada participated in MCC 360 to grow their medical practice and meet their quality improvement goals.
When the MCC discontinued MCC 360 in 2025, the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta acquired its intellectual property and is pleased to re-introduce this innovative program under a new name: MSF360.
New name, same valuable program
MSF360 provides healthcare practitioners with an opportunity to evaluate their practice through self-assessment, while also reflecting on anonymized feedback gathered from patients and colleagues. This offers a 360-degree perspective on which to base improvements and professional development, so providers can enhance their practice and patients can receive the best care they have to offer.
Years of research has gone into multi-source feedback and the benefits it brings to a healthcare provider’s practice, and MSF360 is looking forward to engaging even more participants in this program. Health professionals can sign up for MSF360 on their own as a way to improve their practice, or may be selected to participate by their regulators or healthcare institutions.
“Multi-source feedback offers health professionals a clear, more complete understanding of how their practice is experienced by both patients and colleagues,” says Kristopher Rebman, Senior Program Manager for MSF360. “By bringing these perspectives together, MSF360 supports meaningful growth, strengthens communication and teamwork, and ultimately contributes to safer, higher-quality care. MSF360 reflects our shared commitment to accountability, continuous improvement and excellence in professional practice.”
